The Sandbox, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and a social gaming and metaverse platform, has joined hands with Universal Products & Experiences and Amblin Entertainment to bring one of the film industry’s biggest franchises, Jurassic World, to the metaverse.

According to the press release shared with Cryptonews, the two plan to deliver new games and immersive experiences to the fans – all inspired by Jurassic World.

Furthermore, they will offer limited-edition digital collectibles. These include playable characters, dinosaurs, and wearables.

“Jurassic World is one of the most iconic franchises in the world that taps into the excitement and thrill of coming face-to-face with dinosaurs,” said Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of The Sandbox.

Madrid added that gamified experiences are the future of fan interaction with their favorite brands. “This collaboration allows us to deliver exactly that.”

Meanwhile, Universal Products & Experiences is a branch of Universal, which aims to create immersive and unique experiences in any product category. These include toys, collectibles, books, clothing, lifestyle, video games, NFTs, and more.

Also, Amblin Entertainment is a film production company founded in 1980 by director and producer Steven Spielberg and producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

Amblin is an independent production company but Universal distributes many of its productions. The two are behind some of the biggest releases in the movie industry, including Jurassic Park and Back to the Future.
